Here I am on vacation and feeling the need to blog. Well, Alan is on a bike ride and the kids are playing nicely together and my book is getting too much for me to read right now so here I am.
I am registered for classes again this spring term............scary. It has been a while, but just need to be done. Now that Hunter is older I think it will be a little easier to study, or so I hope. Once I get past this class I am confident it will be smooth sailing after that. The only problem I face with going back to school is that eventually I will not be able to work at my current job full time and that bum's me out a lot. I love my job and where I work, but still need to keep on this path I have created for myself. I am confident that it will all work out in the end and what will be is how it was meant to happen.
Kids are getting so big. I don't know where the times goes. My "little" girl will be a teenager this year and she not such a little girl any more, more like a little lady. If my hair were darker I am sure it would show some gray:)
Started to "run" ha ha, I can't really call it that since a speed walker can pass me,but it does sound impressive doesn't it. I actually jog, even that is a term I use loosely. It feels good though, you know that muscle ache after you have done something good for yourself, that you complain about but still you keep doing it.....ya, that is were I am at.
I have become somewhat addicted to reading. I know a weird thing to complain about but i feel naked if I don't have book to read. I find that it prevents me from exercising sometimes and that is not a win/win situation so I am trying to find the happy medium there. I think I am getting closer.
Well, back to my vacation now..................

Happy New Year
Wow, 2010.
I am hopeful this is going to be a great year. I have been asked many times what my New Years resolution is. After much contemplation I have decided I don't have one, nor do I intend to make one. Seems to me that resolutions are usualy unatainable and set too high to be realistic to reach. So I have decided to make life changes, and will see how I do with those. I have a "plan" to do a half marathon with a friend of mine, so time will tell how that goes. I treated myself to an elliptical, which I LOVE. Trying new recipes that help with less calories and am going to do things this year that I have in the past avoided aka, I am planning on stepping out of my comfort zone this year. I would like to learn to water ski, though I don't have a boat so that may throw a kink in my plans but I am sure I can overcome that. I plan to ride my bike more this year also.
I hope everyone is starting the new year with an open mind and heart. Here's to a wonderful new year.

Holey Cow
Man it had been a long time since I have been here. Doing a lot of face book, but I realize that there are people out there who don't so I thought I would catch up here. This summer has been pretty uneventful thus far. But fun none the less. I am only working 3 days a week during the summer which is very nice with the kids. We got a new puppy, he is a little breed, his name is Knight and the kids just love him. Even grandma likes him, she let him get in her lap and asked if she could walk him round the yard the other day.
It has been SOOOOOO hot here lately it is miserable. 100 degrees plus is just way too hot. I don't even like going outside it is that bad. We bought a little plastic pool for 19$ and I have to say it has been the best investment so far this summer to beat the heat. The kids think it's great, it is a tight squeeze for all of them but they don't care.
I finally gave the boys a hair cut so I took advantage of the fact and took them to the park in Ashland for some photos. I had to bribe them all with ice cream. It was totally worth it. I posted them here. Enjoy.

Boot Camp
OK, so I started "boot camp" today. A work out program directed by a very nice, enthusiastic, bubbly, trainer who has a knack for making every muscle in your body scream for mercy in the short time of just 1 hour.
On my way there at 5am thinking to myself, that I can do anything for an hour, 'I have worked out before, it shouldn't be that bad'.....................WRONG. I cannot believe you can sweat so much in that short a time.
I did have fun. It was a great experience and believe it or not I can't wait to go back. I do however fear how sore I will be tomorrow.

Week 14
Wow it has been a while since I updated my weeks. Unfortunately my update is going to be smaller than I would like. After a bit of an unnatural obsession with a make believe vampire and his family when I didn't walk, run, or workout for 2 weeks. I am a bit ashamed but if you know what I'm talking about you know it's worth it. :)
I am still running, trying to get ready for the 5K at Pear Blossom, my goal is just to finish while still running...........not crawling. OK, I wouldn't have to crawl but I don't want to be walking either.

Alan's Birthday Video
So Alan turned 29 this month. Ok we all know he's not 29 but that is what he is holding onto so I grudgingly oblige him. I am not sure why he is so reluctant to age, he really does get better with age. LOL. So anyway, we, I'm sorry HE made dinner (he wanted to BBQ) opened a few presents and watched the video the kids make for him while they were alone in the house. It was so incredibly cute I had to share it with you all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
